Glyph Descent

Glyph Descent looks like a simple tile-matcher for about ten levels, then it quietly reveals it's been teaching you a whole language of mechanics the entire time. You route glowing glyphs through a grid, and each type behaves differently. Combining them is where the joy lives.

The difficulty curve is a masterclass. Every new element gets a safe level to learn before it's combined with everything else. I never felt cheated — when I failed, it was because I misread the board, and the retry is instant. That instant restart matters on mobile, where patience runs thin.

There's no time pressure in the main mode, so you can stare at a board for as long as you need. A separate timed mode exists for people who want the adrenaline. Smart design top to bottom.
