Skyline Drift Club: Stop Understeering Into Walls

Skyline Drift Club: Stop Understeering Into Walls

Most people who bounce off Skyline Drift Club do it because they're fighting the car instead of the corner. The default tuning is grippy and safe, which sounds good but actually makes the drifting sluggish. Loosen the rear grip a couple of notches and the whole game opens up.

The touch controls beat tilt once you commit. Tilt feels intuitive for about three races, then the tiny corrections start biting you. With buttons you can tap-release to feather the throttle mid-drift, which is how the fast times get set.

Learn to lift off the accelerator before the apex, not during it. Entering a corner slightly slow and drifting out fast is way quicker than barreling in and scrubbing speed. The ghost-race mode is your best teacher here — race your own good lap and watch where it pulls ahead.

Spend early parts on tires and suspension before engine power. A car that turns is faster than a car that just goes straight quickly.
